When the temperatures drop, many of love us to jet off somewhere warmer and Cyprus is certainly a wonderful destination to get some winter sun. With year-round sunshine, the temperatures fall only slightly in the winter months, and many people actually prefer this time of year as the heat isn’t quite so intense. You’ll still be able to relax and sunbathe and soak up those rays you’ve been craving, but you’ll also find you have the energy to do more, to get out and explore, without the temperatures being too overpowering.

  • Stroll around Nicosia’s old town

Nicosia’s old town is a fabulous place to spend a day exploring, but in the summer months, the city streets can be very hot. In the winter months you’ll find it very pleasant, so take your time and take a wander. You never know what hidden gem you might find around the next corner. Check out a museum, buy some hand-crafted souvenirs and you simply must stop off to enjoy some of the delicious local cuisine.

Hiking in the summer can be pretty arduous and exhausting, but in the winter months it becomes a delight! There are so many hiking trails in the Troodos mountains, choose one that suits your needs and get out there.
